Hours (negotiable):

Mon 11h30-20h, Tue 14h-20h, Wed 8h-20h, Thu 14h-20h and Fri 16h-19h30

Salary: 2340 €

Contract: CDI

Language/s: English (main) and French

Driver's Licence: Required

The mother will be on maternity leave until September, mostly caring for the baby. From September, the family will hire an au pair who will assist the nanny in her work (supervising the children during bath time etc), though the nanny will remain the primary caregiver.

The nanny will be responsible for picking up the children from school, driving them to their after-school activities and supervising homework and bathtime. The nanny will cook dinner for the children each night which will be prepared before the children finish school to ensure the children are the nanny’s primary focus when they are home.

The children are bilingual in English and French but the primary focus of the position is to increase the children’s exposure in English.

The nanny should have a valid driver’s licence to accompany the children to their activities though it is not a requirement that they have their own car (but it is preferred).

The family has a separate cleaner but the nanny will keep the children's rooms organised and the common areas of the house tidy. The nanny will also manage the children’s laundry and some light grocery shopping may be required.

The indicative scheduled hours will be Mon 11h30-20h, Tue 14h-20h, Wed 8h-20h, Thu 14h-20h and Fri 16h-19h30 although there is flexibility and can be discussed (eg possibility to arrive later or leave earlier).

The nanny will be entitled to 5 weeks paid leave per year.

The candidate:

  • Fluent English speaker, with a good understanding of French (for appointments and supervising French homework)

  • Well-educated, patient, reliable and warm, but able to set clear boundaries

  • Has a valid driver’s licence (if possible their own car)

  • Has worked with children of a similar age and experience with newborns

  • Comfortable with cooking balanced meals

  • Will work in collaboration with the parents and be a good communicator
